I started scrapbooking almost by accident. I had enjoyed taking pictures on our travels and our most memorable travels to that point had been our tour of England Scotland and Wales. Although we’ve traveled most of the US, it was our first trip to Europe.
And of course, with advent of digital cameras, I took hundreds of pictures…but hadn’t organized them other than on the computer to view slide shows. And then, one day after we’d been home a short time, I spotted a Travel Scrapbook Kit at Tueday Morning. I wasn’t even looking for anything like that…but saw it, and it was a great price…and that was the beginning of a rewarding hobby.
I didn’t really know how all the scrapbookers did it…but that kit was a guide to the world of fancy pages, embellishments, journaling and more.
With that scrapbook I just followed the order of our trip, making a page or two for each of our stops. And of course, writing and embellishing as I went along. Another great thing about this scrapbook is that it allows you to add momentos from the trip as well.
Of course, it required more materials and tools…so I went to a craft store and was amazed at all of the Scrapbooking supplies available. My scrapbook required many additional pages and
embellishments, and quite a few supplies. I also found the world of scrapbooking on the Internet and found that I could download and print pages and embellishments as well. So my bargain kit got fairly expensive, but I was hooked.
