Ask yourself these questions:
Is there are story? Why are you taking this shot?
And what is the focal point or main focus?
Is there a second focal point?
What is the background…is there a way to make it better or should it be blurry?
And how about the foreground…is there too many other things in the foreground?
How close up should this photo be? Try taking it from different distances.
Lighting is important…where is the light coming from and is there enough light?
Do you want to have your photo straight on…or is a different angle more interesting?
Take a look at different perspectives. What perspective gives the best effect?
Would it be interesting to hold your camera at a different position? Worth a try for different effects.
These are good things to think about when taking your pictures…
and the beauty of digital photography is that you can try for many different effects!
