Some Simple Rules for Great Photos

When I first started taking pictures with a digital camera, I had to learn what was the best way to go about it…

And I found that having a small pocket sized camera was the best for me.  Be sure to take it with you everywhere, in your purse or pocket.  Then no matter where you are, when a great photo opportunity comes up, you’re ready to capture it.

And when you’re taking pictures, move around, try to get your subject or view from many different angles.  The light direction will change and you’ll be amazed at the photography you can achieve.

And speaking of lighting, your light source should be behind you or to the side for the clearest view of your subject.  But sometimes other lighting can give dramatic results…don’t be afraid to try.  That’s the beauty of digital!

Another tip for taking pictures of scenery…try to frame your picture with something close up (like a tree) that will give perspective to scenery at a distance.

Now grab your camera and take some pictures. and you’ll be amazed at your great photos.
