Congratulations, you’re getting married! What better way is there to remember every part of the journey from engagement to honeymoon than with a scrapbook? Scrapbooking allows you to commemorate special times in your life in a way that is designed around you.
If you’re having a themed wedding, create a scrapbook around that theme! If your theme is the beach, start with pale beiges and soft blues to match the sand and water, and use shell stamps and island-themed paper designs scattered throughout the book for decoration. This way, your scrapbook will match the pictures from the wedding and reception. Be sure to set aside an invitation to display on its
own page.
Another way to tie your scrapbook in with your wedding is to match the colors. Most weddings decorate around one or two specific colors, so design your scrapbook with those colors in mind. You can use your colors throughout your scrapbook in the form of page color, ink color, decoration color, or all three! This will tie your scrapbook in with your wedding and opening the pages will take you back to your special day.
A third idea for a wedding scrapbook is as a trip. Start with mementos from the time you and your spouse were dating; things like pictures and ticket stubs from concerts and movies are great for this. Dedicate the center page of the scrapbook solely to the day of the engagement. For the rest of the scrapbook, detail the process up to your wedding day, and on the final page, put a wedding picture and the words “The Beginning”.

A wedding scrapbook is a great gift to give too. I usually take a bunch of photos and than just build a small scrapbook for the bride and Groom.
