What I Learned About Scrapbooking…
What is Scrapbooking?
During all of my years, everyone had photo albums and/or boxes of photos. And in years past we had slides and slideshows as well as home movies. I had a wedding album, baby books and the photo albums my mother made of my daughters. And we had some slides and a slide projector.
But mostly, I had boxes of photos. Sometimes when our family would get together, we’d look through them, but then put them back in the bookcase and boxes.
But what I found about Scrapbooking, is that Scrapbooking tells a story. It may be of a trip, an event, a person, or group of people…but it tells a story.
It is storytelling at a personal level. It is organizing moments of the past so they have meaning for future generations. It is a recognition that events make up lives, and it is a celebration of living. Scrapbookers today are preserving the past for tomorrow.
